Altinnova was born of the desire of two engineers with a passion for cycling to share their passion with as many people as possible through practical, easy-to-use solutions. Since 2003, the Altinnova team has been offering equipment and service solutions for cyclists, local authorities, businesses and condominiums. With the growing realisation that this approach meets a growing need for eco-development in cities, Altinnova has evolved over the years to design and manufacture ever more innovative and functional made-to-measure solutions. Our French company is proud to support its customers with customised projects by controlling the entire chain, from design to installation. Now the market leader, Altinnova’s initial ambition is growing as the number of cyclists in our towns and countryside increases.

Combining the inventiveness of designers and creators with the skills of engineers and technicians, Altinnova® has been bringing innovative equipment to life for all cycling development projects since its inception in 2003.
Did you know that Altinnova® pioneered the concept of a service station for cyclists, allowing all types of bikes to be washed, inflated or repaired, as well as water bottles to be filled? By imagining, designing, conceiving and patenting the ALTAO® Modulo, Altinnova® has been able to meet the different needs of cyclists, while providing them with comfort and safety.
Since that first product, Altinnova® has continued to develop concepts for cycle facilities that make life easier for cycling enthusiasts and occasional users, in urban areas, along greenways or in the countryside.

Altinnova® manages the entire project chain: design, conception, industrialisation, manufacture, works, installation, operation, etc.
Since 2016, the company has had a state-of-the-art production facility: an industrial sheet metal workshop equipped with the latest generation of machinery. As a result, all our sales, design office, production and assembly activities are based at our head office in Bonson, in the Loire region. This makes Altinnova® the only company to design and manufacture all its cycling equipment in its factory in France! It’s a bold choice in terms of industrialisation, one that creates jobs and is strategic in terms of providing our customers with ever greater responsiveness and quality!

Eco-design as a guiding principle
Altinnova® has been implementing an eco-design approach to product development for many years. The design process takes into account the entire life cycle of the equipment manufactured and installed, in order to reduce its environmental impact. This impact is quantified by means of eco-indicators, enabling us to continually improve our products, making them ever more suitable and environmentally friendly.
This eco-design approach is ISO 14001: 2015 certified. It was developed with the support of the Ecodesign Centre, and its methodological input. In recognition of this commitment, Altinnova® received the Ecodesign Trophy from BCS certification in 2017, as well as the Ecodesign diploma from the Ecodesign cluster for the creation of its ALTAO® Pump product in 2012.
The choice of industrialisation (from design to manufacture and installation) means that raw materials are optimised, the origin of the wood is controlled and greenhouse gas emissions are reduced. Choosing local service providers and suppliers also helps to limit transport. Altinnova® is aware that it is responsible for its products and makes choices in line with its aspirations.
Today, the company regularly takes part in conferences to present its approach to local authorities and businesses. It is also working with ADEME, in particular by finalising an “Analysis of the economic benefits of the eco-design approach for businesses” report on Altinnova®’s eco-design activity following a 6-month study.
