The first made-to-measure ALTAO® Pod “Oonee Mini” inaugurated in New York!
New York’s first bespoke ALTAO® Pod secure bike shelter, co-designed with Oonee and manufactured in France by Altinnova, has just been inaugurated in New York!
You’re probably already familiar with the 50 secure bicycle shelters designed, manufactured, installed and even operated by Altinnova for the City of Paris. Autonomous and connected bike boxes to facilitate residential bike parking. Well, the specialist in equipment and services for cycling facilities is continuing its roll-out in major cities. And now the Big Apple has inaugurated its first closed locker for 6 bikes, right next to the Brooklyn Bridge!
In addition to customisable sliding doors with electronic cylinders for easy access by badge or smartphone, this facility features innovations such as a green roof and side lighting.
An integrated bicycle inflation station
This equipment has a built-in inflation station that all cyclists can use to check the pressure and re-inflate their tyres. However, this self-service bike pump can also be used for scooters, pushchairs and even wheelchairs!
Thanks to this service station for cyclists and its green roof, this box provides additional functions to secure parking. Fear of theft is already one of the main obstacles to cycling. But by adding greenery to public spaces, as well as street furniture to serve city dwellers, the bike park meets a number of needs.
